JERUSALEM Israel has no plans to attack Iran, an Israeli cabinet minister said Tuesday, a day after the Iranian defense minister warned of heavy retaliation for any Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear reactor.
The minister, Ephraim Sneh, also renewed accusations that Tehran was trying to heat up the Israeli-Lebanese border by arming Lebanese guerrillas and encouraging them to carry out attacks.
